Power Transformer

Redway Electric (Shijiazhuang Hongwei Power Transformer Co., Ltd.) is a nationally certified high-tech enterprise specializing in the design, manufacturing, and export of power transformers for industrial, utility, and renewable energy applications. With over 21 years of deep expertise in the power equipment sector, we supply power transformers from 30kVA to 6,300kVA across voltage classes from 0.38kV to 35kV — fully compliant with IEC 60076, GB 1094, and customized to regional grid standards worldwide.

Whether you need a three-phase oil-immersed unit for a substation project, a dry-type power transformer for an indoor data center, or a pad-mounted solution for underground utility distribution, Redway Electric delivers engineered reliability backed by 128+ industry certifications and a dedicated R&D team of 150+ professionals.

Our Power Transformer Product Range

We manufacture five core types of power transformers, each optimized for specific operating environments and load profiles:

Three-Phase Oil-Immersed Transformer

The most widely deployed type globally. Our S11/S13-series three-phase oil-immersed power transformers cover 30kVA to 2,500kVA at 10kV, 11kV, and 22kV primary voltage, with IEC 60076-1 compliant fully-sealed corrugated tank construction and copper or aluminum windings available. Suitable for outdoor substation, pole-mounted, and pad-mounted installations.

Single-Phase Oil-Immersed Transformer

Rated 30kVA to 1,000kVA. Designed for rural electrification, railway power supply, and single-phase industrial loads requiring isolated or step-down voltage conversion. Customizable voltage ratios available upon request.

Dry-Type Transformer (Cast Resin)

Rated 30kVA to 6,000kVA, voltage class 0.38kV to 12kV. Epoxy-resin vacuum-cast windings with F/H class insulation — zero risk of oil leakage, ideal for indoor environments including data centers, hospitals, high-rise buildings, and fire-sensitive industrial facilities. Compliant with IEC 60076-11.

Pad-Mounted Transformer

Tamper-resistant, weather-sealed enclosure design for below-grade or ground-level installation in residential subdivisions, commercial campuses, and underground distribution networks. Available in single-phase and three-phase configurations, 15kVA to 2,500kVA.

European-Style Transformer

Compact integrated substation design (transformer + switchgear + metering in one enclosure). Preferred for European grid infrastructure projects and export markets requiring EN 50588 compliance.

Why Buyers Choose Redway Electric as Their Power Transformer Supplier

Founded on deep roots in China's Hebei power equipment manufacturing cluster, Hongwei / Redway Electric has been delivering power transformers to domestic utilities and international buyers since the early 2000s. Our institutional knowledge spans raw material sourcing, silicon steel core lamination, vacuum-pressure impregnation, and full type-test protocol.

Proprietary R&D with Granted Patents

Our independently developed High-Voltage Wire Fixing Device (Patent No.: ZL 2020 2 1536485.3, granted by CNIPA) is one of 128+ authorized industry certificates held by the company. Our R&D team — led by engineers with 20+ years of hands-on transformer design experience — continuously advances core efficiency, noise reduction, and load adaptability in our power transformer product lines.

Hebei Science & Technology SME Designation

Recognized by the Hebei provincial government as a "Specialized, Refined, Distinctive, and Innovative" SME and a Science and Technology-based enterprise (Certification No. SKX202508A2050001), Redway Electric operates to a higher technical standard than typical trading companies or assembly-only factories.

20,000 m² Production Base, 150+ Person Team

Our dedicated manufacturing facility enables consistent batch output with full in-process quality control. Production capacity covers standard catalog models for fast delivery and full-custom engineering for special operating conditions (high altitude, extreme cold, corrosive environments, mining, offshore).

IEC 60076 Compliant Across the Full Range

Every power transformer we ship undergoes routine tests per IEC 60076-1, including ratio measurement, short-circuit impedance, no-load loss, load loss, insulation resistance, and induced overvoltage tests. Type test reports available upon request.

OEM & Custom Power Transformer Solutions

Standard catalog models ship fast. But many of our clients come to us precisely because their project requires something outside the catalog. Redway Electric accepts full OEM and custom orders with the following flexibility:

  • Custom Capacity: Any kVA rating within 30kVA–6,300kVA range; larger capacity on application
  • Custom Voltage Ratio: Any combination of primary/secondary voltage supported by your regional grid standard
  • Custom Structure: Tank dimensions, conservator vs. fully-sealed, radiator count, bushing type, OLTC / DETC tap changer
  • Custom Cooling: ONAN, ONAF, OFAN or forced-cooling upgrades
  • Custom Certifications: We support third-party type testing and documentation for CE, KEMA, GOST, and other market-specific approvals
  • Custom Nameplate & Branding: White-label / OEM branding for distributors and project contractors

Standard Lead Times: Distribution transformers (catalog): 15–20 working days Dry-type transformers (catalog): 10–15 working days Custom-engineered units: 30–60 working days depending on complexity
